Bacteria and viruses that can trigger allergy symptoms in sensitive people. Most affected are children, the elderly and anyone whose immune system is compromised (such as while taking antibiotics). Sanitizing requires special training and equipment to ensure the safety and health of both workers and occupants. Even pets can suffer from the contamination in your air ducts if they are left untreated.
How is it Applied?
The product is fogged directly into the air duct system. We utilize a special fogger system that provides just the right amount of mist to coat the interior of your entire duct system.
Will There Be Blow back in the Home?
No. The treatment is a liquid and is applied inside of the duct work.
Is it Safe? Do I Need to Leave My House?
Yes, it is safe. No, you don’t need to leave your home. The product we use has many different applications; it is commonly used in hospitals. The natural disinfectant that we use to sanitize your ducts is also harmless to humans and pets alike, and requires no personal protective equipment, and no first aid if ingested, inhaled, or contacts skin or even gets in your eyes, and yet it kills 99.9 % of germs, and it continues to inhibit their regrowth for up to 12 months.
How Do You Reach All the Areas of the Duct-work?
The fogger is inserted into the air condition return area with the air condition fan running to fog the duct-work and moved through the lines until all surfaces of the duct lines are coated.
How Often Does It Need to be Done?
We recommend once every 12 months after 1st application. To keep re-growth from coming back.
What’s the Difference Between the Sanitizing Service and the Cleaning Service?
Our air duct cleaning service removes contaminates from the system with negative air machine vacuuming, which removes contaminants from the system using negative air. Our air duct sanitizing treatment is applied after a cleaning to sanitize the duct system.
Microbiological growth usually begins on the air handler evaporator coils where there is moisture and darkness to support the growth of mold, mildew, algae, bacteria, viruses, and other contaminates
Further evidence of microbiological growth will appear on the plenum above the air handler. If there is contamination bleeding on the outside, as pictured, you can safely bet that there is even more growth on the inside of the plenum
Contaminates will eventually show themselves on the vents throughout the home if allowed to continue to grow and spread. Sensitization once a year will kill this growth and inhibit future growth.
